Earl W. Burns, 92, of Newark and Rehoboth Beach, DE, peacefully passed away on April 10, 2019. He was born in Wilmington, DE, to the late Eva L. (Davis) and James Burns and grew up with his two brothers on Union Street in the row home that is now Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop. Earl resided in St. Louis, Missouri for many years. He attended St.
George L. Conte, Jr., 73 of Lewes, formerly of Wilmington passed away at his home on Thursday, April 11, 2019 after a long illness.
Shirley (Sue) Bowen, age 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 25, 2019, at the Kentmere Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Wilmington, DE. Born in Detroit, MI in 1924, Sue was the daughter of the late Robert and Ruby (Newman) Bowerman.  She was predeceased by her husbands, William Houle, John Laird, and John Bowen; her brother, Bob Bowerman; and her son, Jay Laird. 
Goldie B. Cook, age 78, of Hockessin, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2019.
Helen Arlene McBain, age 97, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 1, 2019 at the Methodist Country House in Wilmington, DE surrounded by her family.
Marie (McClafferty) Bradley age 89 of Wilmington DE, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.
Edward P. Convery, “Pete”, age 82, went to be with the Lord on April 1st, 2019 surrounded by his family at Christiana Hospital. Born in Wilmington, he was the son of the late Louise (Johnson) and Christopher Convery. Pete was a graduate of Salesianum School, class of 1954. He went on to work as a plumber and pipefitter for Dupont at the Experimental Station.
Evelyn M. (Zeller) Finnigan, age 98, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Wilmington Hospital surrounded by her family.
Linda J. Proskow, 61, of Wilmington passed away peacefully at her son’s home on Sunday, March 10, 2019, after a long battle with breast cancer. She battled this disease with a positive attitude, a great sense of humor, and a love for life and her family. She will always be admired for this.
Richard A. Sexton, age 56, of Newark, DE passed away peacefully on March 29, 2019. Born in Patchogue, NY, he was the son of the late Margaret Lorraine (Riggs) and Fred Lee Sexton, Sr. Rick was the passionate founder and owner of Poured Foundations of Delaware, Inc.
William C. Bartz, Jr. “Billy”, 30 of Newark passed away suddenly on Monday, March 25, 2019.
Joseph Henry Hudson, age 94, of Newark, DE passed away on March 22, 2019 at Seasons Hospice. Born in Wilmington, he was the son of the late Nancy E. (Hardin) and John F. Hudson. Joseph graduated from Brown VoTech and spent two years at Temple University. He worked as a plumber with the Local 74 until his retirement in 1986. Joseph was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church.
Age 55, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Seasons Hospice after complications from a motorcycle accident.
Frank Nieves, age 87, of Wilmington, DE passed away on March 17, 2019 at Christiana Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of the late Ramona (Pacheco) and Francisco Nieves. At the age of 2, he moved to the Bronx where he would eventually meet his wife, Eugenia. Frank worked as a New York City firefighter for 25 years.
Joseph “Jay” Balaguer III, age 58, of Newark, DE, passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, March 17, 2019.
Harry P. Croney, Jr. Age 87, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Brandywine Nursing & Rehabilitation Center surrounded by his family.
William T. Bradley, Jr. “Bill”, 81 formerly of Wilmington and Arlington, VA passed away peacefully at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community.
Richard F. Napolski “Rick”, 67, of Wilmington passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Christiana Hospital.
Francis G. Rossell, age 76, of Hockessin, DE passed away on March 11, 2019. Born in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of the late Miriam (Kershaw) and Joseph Rossell. Francis worked as a pipefitter with the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 74 for 57 years. He was incredibly active in the union, serving on multiple committees including the executive board.
On Sunday, March 10, 2019, Bernadette “Pat” Devlin Farley ‘faded away’, ‘in her words’, three weeks before her 96th birthday, with emerald green rosaries in hand and a reflection of the map of Ireland on her face. If her body complied, she wanted to live long enough to become a centenarian and be recognized on the ‘Today Show’, for Al Roker’s milestone birthdays.
