Wilmington, DE – Margaret Eloise (Keene) Wise Davis, 92, died peacefully Monday, September 3, 2018, at home surrounded by her family’s love. She leaves behind her three daughters – Marlynn Goodness of Rancho Cordova, CA, Lori (David) Good of Collierville, TN, and Cheryl (Marcus) Stein of Wilmington, DE; her grandchildren Evan (Sarah) Goodness, Kiya Stahl and Taylor Stein; and her great grandchildren Andrew, Isobella and James Goodness.
Helen Mary Ogorek, 101, a long-time resident of Hockessin, Delaware, died peacefully on September 1, 2018 of natural causes in Hockessin. Helen was born February 10, 1917 in Wilmington, Delaware. Helen was the sole surviving member of seven children; father, Alexander; mother, Mary (Wisniewski); sister, Jennie Chiffons; and brothers, Peter, Charles, Joseph, Alex, and Edward Ogorek. She is survived by 18 nieces and nephews and many grandnieces and nephews.
Eugene Martin Ruff, known to his family and friends as Gene or “Yogi” died peacefully on September 1, 2018.
William J. ("Wally") Tabasso, age 80, of Smryna, DE passed away on August 29th, 2018. Born in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of Mary N. (Santella) and Paul Tabasso. He was predeceased by his brother, Paul Tabasso, in 2012. Wally graduated from Brown Vo-Tech HS and was a Korean War Navy veteran. He worked as a Computer Technician for TRW for 22 years and then at Info Systems until his retirement in 2003.
Stephen J. Dobraniecki, age 71, died August 30th, at home surrounded by his family after a long battle with prostate cancer. Steve was predeceased by his first wife, Kathleen Krakowski; and his parents, Stephen and Sophie Dobraniecki.
Doris L. Hunter, age 79, of New Castle, DE, formerly of Bear, passed away peacefully at Christiana Hospital on Thursday, August 23, 2018. Born in North Wilkesboro, NC, Doris was the daughter of the late Samuel Eakey and Molly Cordova (Blackburn) Lankford. She worked for First USA Bank as a credit collector until her retirement. She was a member of the Red Hat Society group. Her husband of 59 years, Charles Glenn Hunter, Jr., predeceased her in 2015.
Age 84, of Newark, DE, formerly of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Jeanne Jugan Residence (Little Sisters of the Poor). Born in Wilmington, Marie was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (DiIenno) Cicchini. She was a graduate of P.S. DuPont High School. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph F. Wisniewski, in 2006.

Francis “Frank” A. Monaco Sr. passed away peacefully August 14, 2018 surrounded by his family. Frank was born in Wilmington DE on September 4th, 1929 where he resided all his life. Frank attended Brown Vocational High School where he was a stand-out fullback for several championship teams. He also played basketball and ran track. As a result of his football prowess he received an offer of a college football scholarship.
Annetta Potter Halvorsen, age 94, of Hockessin, DE, formerly of Springfield, VT, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018. Born in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of the late Ethel Pauline (Read) and Sidney Lake Potter. Annetta's life was centered around family. She was a devoted, supportive wife, a dedicated mother and an excellent homemaker.
