William M. Krayer

William M. Krayer, 74 of Hockessin passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 20, 2018 surrounded by his family.

Bill was born in New York, the son of Mary (Walsh) and William S. Krayer, He was a 1962 graduate of Salesianum School and worked for the former Carpenters Local 626, where he received his 50 year pin. Bill was a member of the Jesus House Prayer Community and St. Mary of the Assumption Church.

Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jane (Stauffer) Krayer; his daughters and their husbands, Lisa and Ken Kunzman of Exton, PA and Jennifer and Thomas “T.R.” Lavin of West Chester, PA; his grandchildren, Katie, Kenny, Maggie, Finn and Declan ; his sisters, Donna Zeberkiewicz and her husband, Hank of Hockessin and Lynn Krayer of Wilmington and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 11 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, where friends may call after 10 AM. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Jesus House, 2501 Milltown Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. On line condolences may be sent to Mealeyfuneralhomes.com

I knew Bill through his sisters and later worked with him in the 70’s. A really good guy. I would see him from time to time at Target and reminisce about the old days. My sincere condolences to Jane, his daughters and the entire Krayer family. Rest In Peace my friend!

Mr. Krayer was by far my dad's best friend. The stories I could tell about the 2 of them could go on for days. He was such a huge part of all our lives. So very sorry for your loss, we pray for your family to be comforted by the fact that Bill is no longer in pain, and he is in a better place. He was very , very good to our daughter, Renee, and her son, Paul. We will always remember him with great fondness, though we only met him once, he was extremely kind and very friendly to us.
