Walter A. Piechowski passed away peacefully on July 20, 2018 at the age of 89.
Walt was born in Shamokin, PA on July 13, 1929. He was a lifelong member of the Brady Fire Co. Walt was a veteran of the US Army. He worked at General Motors for 8 years before moving on and retiring from the Experimental Station and the Willow Bank DuPont Sites after 29 years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Regina, for whom he lovingly cared while she battled dementia.
Walt was a devoted Phillies and Eagles fan and was lucky enough to watch them win a Super Bowl. He was a constant supporter of his granddaughters’ activities, attending all their volleyball and soccer games
He is survived by his son, Ron, and wife, Joann, and his daughter, Maria, and husband, Robert Lynn; his granddaughters, Christine, and husband Lew Martin, Jennifer and fiancé Rick, and great grandchildren, Wesley and Cora Martin.
Friends and Family are invited to visitation on Wednesday, July 25th after 10 AM at Holy Angels Church, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.
